Questions ...
To Encourage and Fellowship with Navajo Christians
I am not a Christian, but I have questions about...
God
Who is God?
To the Christians, God is....God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit -
all present in one. Christians who believe in this, call this the Trinity.
The Trinity is the foundation of the Christian faith.
So basically, God the Father is God, Jesus the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is
God - all present in one.
So do all religions believe in the same God?
Like I mentioned, to the Christians, the Only True God is God the Father, God the
Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit - present in one. So, if one religion recognizes
'God the Father' as God and does not recognize 'Jesus the Son' as God, then this
becomes a totally different god. Or if one religion believes in 'God the Father' as
God, but does not recognize 'Jesus the Son' as God or the 'Holy Spirit' as God, then
this becomes another different god.
So to answer this question, All different religions do not believe in the same God.
The one true God is 'God the Father', 'God the Son', and 'God the Holy Spirit'
present in one - the Trinity.
Salvation:
What is salvation?
Salvation is a word that we Christians use to describe as ' being saved'.
Being saved from What? You may ask. Well, it means that your soul is being saved
from spending eternity in Hell.
Why do I need to get saved?
Unless you want to spend forever in Hell. Getting 'saved' is the only way to avoid
going to Hell and this is a choice that God gave us. Personally, I do not want any of
my Family and Friends to spend eternity in Hell.
So, do I need to get saved to get into Heaven?
Yes, getting saved is the only way to get into Heaven. It does not matter how good
of a person you are or how many times you have been to church, if you have are not
saved, you will not enter into the Gates of Heaven.
How do I get saved?
You get 'saved' by saying a simple prayer. However, this prayer must come from
the heart and not some prayer that you say 'just to get by' or a ' just in case' or 'I'll
wait till the last minute' prayer. This prayer is to be said when you realize that you
are a sinner and that you need to get saved.
1st: Admit that you are a sinner
2nd: Believe that Jesus(God the Son) is the only way to get into Heaven
3rd: Admit that Jesus is Lord
'Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. Please forgive me for all of the sins that I
did. And Jesus, I know that you died on the cross for me and I believe that you are
the only way to Heaven. So Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Come into
my heart and change my life. Amen.'
If you prayed this prayer and meant it, then you are now saved and welcome to the
family of the one true God. Now find a God fearing, bible believing church. So that
you can grow and build a personal relationship with God.
Church:
Do all churches believe in the same God?
No, because not all churches believe in the Trinity.
Some churches believe that Jesus was just a good teacher or just a prophet and not
God and some teach that the Holy Spirit is not God.
So, not all churches believe in the same God.
Which church should I go to?
Well, if you just accepted Christ or not sure where to go then I would suggest that
you find a church that believes in the Trinity. Normally, any Baptist, Assembly of
God, Calvary Chapel, Nazarene, Lutheran, Presbyterian, or most full Gospel
churches are a good start.
If you still are confused about it, then go to a church that has a Cross displayed on
or in front of the church building. The Cross is the main symbol that all Christians
believe in. Basically, the Cross stands for the death and resurrection of Jesus.
All Churches have hypocrites anyway, so why should I go?
Well, I will not deny that fact, but I will say this, people who say that they are
Christians and who do not act like it, they will have to answer to God when the time
comes.
And understand this, they do not represent all Christians who do have a right
relationship with God.
I guess what I am saying is this, not all Christians are hypocrites and this should not
keep you from going to church, but if you still think that all Christians are
hypocrites, then I will say this......... ' then you should fit right in '....... so come and
join us.
All the Churches want is your money?
Well, that maybe so, but they do this to keep the church running and really.... giving
money to the Church, is really between the true Christian and God. So do not feel
pressured that you have to give to the church if you are not a Christian or just
visiting a church.
I hear about The End of the World, what is that?
The End of the World is a phrase that people think of as 'destruction of all mankind'
and most likely related to the Battle of Armageddon.
But to clear things up, the 'End of the World' should be said as the 'End of Time'.
Time is running out. We believe that Jesus is coming for his people(true believers
or Christians) soon. And when Jesus calls his people into Heaven, that is when bad
things will start to happen here on Earth: more large Earthquakes and much more
suffering. Christians who believe this called this the 'Tribulation'. Tribulation or the
'great suffering' will last for 7 years. During this time, one world government will
take place and the Antichrist will be in charge.
After 7 years are up, that is when Jesus comes back to Earth and destroys all those
who are against him. This will be called the Battle of Armageddon. There are more
details about this, but I will stop here.
