English translation - (..for you urbanites)
I am called Rno Yazzie and I am of the Salt clan, born of the Big Water Clan. My
grandfathers clan on my mothers side is Bitter water and my grandfathers clan on
my fathers side is Tobacco people running into the Red house.
I am originally from the White Cone Az area, but grew up in the White Mountains. Now I
make my living here in the Phoenix area and have been here for over 20 years. So, you
can call me an Urban Navajo or what my in-laws love to call me ....City Slickerrrrrrrrzzz.
As for my spiritual life, I pretty much grew up in the church. I could remember my sister
and I going to church when I was about 4, but it wasn't until I was 7 or 8, when
Mennonite missionaries start coming around our house to minister to us. Every Tuesday
night, 7:30 on the dot, they came. I can't say how many 'Happy Days' and 'Laverne and
Shirley' shows I missed ( man!! .....I still can't get over it), but it was worth it. This is
where my mom became a born again Christian and became my solid spiritual example. I
wish I could say that my life was changed also, but the seed was planted. It was not until
13 years later, when I rededicated my life to Christ. Now, I faithfully attend a church here
in the East Valley, where I am growing in Christ.
East Valley are towns or cities East of Phoenix: Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe,
Scottsdale, and Apache Junction.
What I Believe in:
1. I believe in the Trinity. Trinity is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
This is the core foundation of my Christian belief.
2. I believe that the Bible is God's Holy word.
3. I believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ. Jesus is God (God the Son) who was born by
virgin birth and lived a perfect life and was crucified.
4. I believe in eternal life whether it is in Heaven or in Hell. I believe that just being a
good person all your life does not get you into Heaven. You must accept Jesus as your
personal savior. Meaning, there is only one way to Heaven and that is through Jesus
Christ. Today's culture think that there are many ways to get to heaven, but that is not
the Truth. Truth is, it is Only through Christ.
5. I believe that when you are saved, God the Holy Spirit helps you live a Holy life.
6. I believe that all Christians need fellowship, encouragement, and accountability.
